We were busy bees today as we learned about bees and made a bee using hair ties. The student came up with the method herself. We created bees with three hair ties. It took just a few twists and slides and we all had a miniature bee.
We had two talent demonstrations today. One student did a bunny hop on his scooter, another demonstrated making a rubber band bracelet on a loom. Also, a student did a card trick in which she told the story of four queens who went to different places. At the end of the story the first queen called and all the queens returned to the top of the deck. We were amazed.
On a hot day a paper fan is just what we need, and a student obliged by teaching us how to make one. We also learned to draw a race car. Another art lesson had us making face patterns in the style of Picasso.
Then, a student led us through the steps to make construction paper ducks. Finally, we made paper airplanes and took them outside to soar around the campus.
Friday should bring another day of exciting learning from our classmates.
