Math Matters
In addition, we worked on correctly writing math problems in vertical form. Students must properly line up the ones, tens, and hundreds to use the algorithm. As your child does math homework it is important he or she attend to precision when writing the problems in vertical form. This will help avoid mathematical errors. Also, students must show their work. This is expected throughout the grade levels. Please be sure your child shows the regrouping or the steps he or she took to arrive at the answer.
